Survivor Voices

Your Story Could Be the One Someone Else Needed to Read

Stories from survivors — and from the people who stood beside them — are some of the most powerful tools we have to help someone else feel less alone. This form is how you share yours, whether you're a survivor telling it yourself, or an ally sharing what you learned supporting someone through it.

Need help right now?

If you're in crisis or need support right now, this form isn't the fastest way to reach us — go to Get Support instead, or use one of the hotlines in the site footer.

Before you submit — guidelines

There's no pressure here. Submitting a story doesn't obligate us to publish it, and it doesn't obligate you to say yes if we ask to. Read the guidelines below before you start — they cover what happens after you hit submit.

  1. We reserve the right to decide whether to publish

We reserve the right to decide whether to publish any story submitted, and are not obligated to use every submission.
  2. Nothing is published without your sign-off

If we'd like to publish yours, we'll edit for length and clarity, and to remove details that could identify you if you've asked to stay anonymous or partially identified — then send you a final draft to review and approve before anything goes live. Nothing is published without your sign-off on that final version.
  3. You can withdraw your story at any point

You can withdraw your story at any point before it's published, no explanation needed.
  4. Please don't include the full name of the person who harmed you

Please don't include the full name of the person who harmed you, or any images, screenshots, or links related to the abuse itself — for your safety and so we can publish responsibly.
  5. If your story references a statistic, study, or fact

If your story references a statistic, study, or fact (for example, about deepfake prevalence or the law), please tell us where it came from — we cite sources on everything we publish.
  6. If you're submitting on behalf of someone else

If you're submitting on behalf of someone else — a friend, a family member, someone you support — we will need their direct permission before anything is published, not just yours. There's a place to note that below.
  7. If you're under 18

If you're under 18, please fill this out with a parent or guardian, or let us know your age so we can follow up the right way.
